Adjust campaign segment limits

You can customize the segment limit for your campaign messages on the Settings > Messaging settings > Privacy > Segment limits page to align with your preferences, billing, or company policy. To change your campaign segment limit, toggle on Customize limit for bulk messaging and select a value using the slider below to set your limit.

Note: This setting is available to admins only. By locking this setting at the organization or branch account level, the segment limit will be applied to all of the accounts below it.

The default limit for TextUs accounts is 3 segments, but you can set it anywhere between 1 and 9 segments. To make changes, adjust the slider to your desired limit, then click Save to update your settings.

Limits are defined in segments (also known as SMS messages) to align with how your TextUs account is billed. To learn more about segments, please see What are SMS messages and how do they affect billing. To switch to a character limit view (legacy), go to Settings > Messaging Settings > Privacy > Segment limits and select Use Character Count (Legacy).

Note: To change the segment limit for campaigns, ensure you are within the Customize limit for bulk messaging section. The slider on the top of the page will instead change the segment limit for all outbound messages. For more information on how to do this, please see Adjust message segment limits.
