Adjust message segment limits

You can customize the segment limit for your outbound messages on Settings > Messaging Settings > Privacy > Segment limits to align with your company's preferences or policies.

Note: This setting is available to admins only. By locking this setting at the organization or branch account level, the segment limit will be applied to all of the accounts below it.

Use the top slider to set your segment limit. The default limit for TextUs accounts is 3 segments, but you can set it anywhere between 1 and 9 segments. To make changes, adjust the slider to your desired limit, then click Save to update your settings.

Limits are defined in segments (also known as SMS messages) to align with how your TextUs account is billed. To learn more about segments, please see What are SMS messages and how do they affect billing. To switch to a character limit view (legacy), go to Settings > Messaging Settings > Privacy > Segment limits and select Use Character Count (Legacy).
