How to set up the HubSpot integration

The TextUs integration for HubSpot connects your TextUs accounts with your HubSpot instance so that you can do the following:

  • Send and receive text messages with contacts in your HubSpot account using the TextUs Embedded Messenger in HubSpot.

  • Import phone numbers from HubSpot into TextUs using the TextUs Embedded Messenger.

  • Build outbound texts into HubSpot workflows.

  • Use logged messages as contact enrollment triggers in workflows.

  • Log your team’s text conversations back to HubSpot contact records.

Note: Your TextUs admin should complete the steps in this section to ensure your integration has the correct account settings and permissions. This process should only need to be completed one time.

Enable the HubSpot integration in TextUs

To integrate TextUs with your HubSpot instance, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to with your org admin user account.

  2. In the TextUs web app, click on your user icon and go to Accounts.

  3. On the Accounts page, find your org account at the top of the account hierarchy and click View.

  4. Click the Settings tab, then click Account Settings > Integrations.

  5. Click the HubSpot CRM icon, then click Authorize.

  6. In the browser window that opens, select the TextUs account you want to connect to HubSpot.

  7. Click Connect app to grant the TextUs web app access to your HubSpot account.

  8. On the HubSpot CRM icon in the TextUs web app, use to the Settings dropdown, to select whether messages will be logged as Tasks or SMS Activities.

  9. Click Save.

Important notes about the GDPR pathway

TextUs understands the importance of data privacy and implements measures to align with GDPR requirements. When a HubSpot user initiates a GDPR deletion, TextUs receives the deletion details and responds by deleting the contact from the requesting organization, including their conversations and removing them from any associated groups. Please note that the deletion of a contact will impact the analytics of the related accounts where the contact previously existed.
