How to set up the LaborEdge integration

The TextUs integration for LaborEdge connects your TextUs accounts with your LaborEdge instance so that you can do the following:

  • Import phone numbers from LaborEdge into TextUs using the TextUs Chrome extension.

  • Send and receive text messages with candidates in your LaborEdge account using the TextUs web app, Chrome extension, or mobile app.

  • Log your team’s text conversations back to LaborEdge candidate records.

Getting started with your LaborEdge integration

Note: Your LaborEdge admin should complete the steps in this guide to ensure your integration has the correct account settings and permissions. This process should only need to be completed one time.

To integrate TextUs with your LaborEdge instance and synchronize data between the two platforms, complete the following steps:

Step 1: Fetch your webhook URL

Before completing the steps in this guide, you will need to reach out to LaborEdge support and request your webhook URL. After you receive your webhook URL, you will be able to link all your TextUs and LaborEdge user accounts through a one-time integration process.

Step 2: Enable the LaborEdge integration in TextUs

To integrate TextUs with your LaborEdge instance, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to next.textus.com with your org admin user account.

  2. Click on your user icon and go to Accounts.

  3. On the Accounts page, find your org account at the top of the account hierarchy and click View.

  4. Go to Settings > Account Settings > Integrations.

  5. Click the LaborEdge icon, then enter your LaborEdge webhook address in the Webhook URL field.

  6. Click Save. Your LaborEdge icon on the Integrations page should now be toggled on.

Step 3: Update your users’ contact info in LaborEdge

As a final step, your TextUs integration requires you to update each user’s Primary Contact number in LaborEdge with their TextUs account phone number. This will enable your users to log notes to a candidate's record.

  1. Log in to your LaborEdge account as an administrator.

  2. On the left navigation menu, select Admin > Security > Users.

  3. Select the name of the user you want to update.

  4. In the Primary Contact field, enter the user's TextUs phone number.

    • If the Primary Contact field does not match the user's TextUs phone number, notes logged to candidate records will use your company name as the author, rather than the name of the user.

  5. The integration process is complete. A note can take between 30 minutes and a few hours to log to a user’s account. If you aren’t seeing your notes log within 24 hours, reach out to the TextUs CX Team.
