How to set up the BlueSky integration

The TextUs integration for BlueSky connects your TextUs accounts with your BlueSky instance so that you can do the following:

  • Send and receive text messages with caregivers in your BlueSky account using the TextUs Chrome extension.

  • Import phone numbers from BlueSky into TextUs using the TextUs Chrome extension.

  • Log your team’s text conversations back to BlueSky caregiver records.

Requirements

Note: Your TextUs admin should complete the steps in this section to ensure your integration has the correct account settings and permissions.

Before completing the steps in this guide, you will need to reach out to BlueSky support and request your webhook URL. After you receive your webhook URL, you will be able to link all your TextUs and BlueSky user accounts through a one-time integration process.

Enable the BlueSky integration in TextUs

To integrate TextUs with your BlueSky instance, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to next.textus.com with your org admin user account.

  2. Click on your user icon and go to Accounts.

  3. On the Accounts page, find your org account at the top of the account hierarchy and click View.

  4. Go to Settings > Account Settings > Integrations.

  5. Click the BlueSky icon, then enter your BlueSky webhook address in the Webhook URL field. Do not include any bracket symbols (<>) in your webhook URL.

  6. Click Save.

  7. The integration process is complete. Your BlueSky icon on the Integrations page should now be toggled on.
