How to set up the Symplr CTM integration

The TextUs integration for Symplr CTM connects your TextUs accounts with your Symplr CTM instance so that you can do the following:

  • Send and receive text messages with temps in your Symplr CTM account using the TextUs web app, Chrome extension, or mobile app.

  • Import phone numbers from Symplr CTM into TextUs using the TextUs Chrome extension.

  • Log your team’s text conversations back to Symplr CTM temp records.

Getting started with your Symplr CTM integration

Note: Your Symplr CTM admin should complete the steps in this guide to ensure your integration has the correct account settings and permissions. This process should only need to be completed one time.

To integrate TextUs with your Symplr CTM instance and synchronize data between the two platforms, complete the following steps:

Step 1: Fetch your webhook URL

Your TextUs integration for Symplr CTM requires you to fetch your webhook URL from Symplr’s Contingent Talent Management platform. To get started, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to your Contingent Talent Management account as an administrator.

  2. Click Admin.

  3. Under the header, "Other," and "Text Messaging," click on "TextUs Administration".

  4. Click the copy URL button to the right of your Webhook URL.

Step 2: Enable the Symplr CTM integration in TextUs

Next, update your Symplr CTM integration in the TextUs web app by completing the following steps:

  1. Log in to next.textus.com with your org admin user account.

  2. Click on your user icon and go to Accounts.

  3. On the Accounts page, find your org account at the top of the account hierarchy and click View.

  4. Go to Settings > Account Settings > Integrations.

  5. Click the Symplr CTM icon, then enter your Symplr CTM webhook address in the Webhook URL field.

  6. Click Save. Your Symplr CTM icon on the Integrations page should now be toggled on.

Step 3: Update your users’ contact info in Symplr CTM

As a final step, your TextUs integration requires you to add each user’s TextUs account phone number to their user profile in Symplr CRM with their. This will enable your users to log notes to a temp’s record.

  1. In your Symplr CTM account, go to the TextUs Administration page.

  2. Click the Add User/Phone Number button.

  3. Click the Staffing User field and select the user you would like to add. You may only add one user at a time.

  4. Enter the user's TextUs Phone Number.

  5. Click Save.

  6. The integration process is complete. As a note, text messages can take between 30 minutes and a few hours to log. If you aren’t seeing your messages log after 24 hours, contact TextUs Support for assistance.
