What is smart AI rewrite?
Smart AI Rewrite is a tool designed to help you send cleaner, more effective messages while staying compliant with carrier guidelines.
When a message is flagged by our message quality indicator, you can now click the magic wand icon and generate up to three new versions of your message with all spammy language, unprofessional tone, and SHAFT violations removed. You can then choose your favorite version, make any additional edits you need, and send when you're happy with it.
Note: If there are words or phrases particular to your use case that you'd like to be flagged by our message quality indicator that are not part of our default list, you can add your own custom flagged content.
How to use smart AI rewrite
Smart AI Rewrite is available across the TextUs web application anywhere that you can compose a message. The feature itself, however, can only be used when a message is flagged by our message quality indicator. If a message has no quality issues detected, the smart AI rewrite icon will be disabled.
If a message has a quality issue and has been flagged by our message quality indicator, you can use smart AI rewrite by clicking the magic wand icon.
We will then generate a version of your message with all quality issues removed. All other elements of the message should be preserved.
Once generated, you can review the rewritten message. If you'd like to move forward with this version, click the Keep button. You will then be able to further edit the message before sending.
If you would like to generate more options, click the Regenerate icon.
For each original message, you are limited to three different versions of a rewritten message. After you have generated three versions, you must either choose between them or opt to select none and go back and edit your original message.
You can use the thumbs up and thumbs down icons to give us feedback on the quality of the rewritten messages. This optional action is only used to help improve future iterations of the feature, and won't impact your workflow.
Enable or disable Smart AI Rewrite
If you do not want this feature to be available for users of your account, you can disable it in settings. Disabling will also remove the feature on that account and all accounts below it. When disabled, the Smart AI Rewrite icon will be removed entirely from the compose box.
Admins will have the ability to lock this setting. Locking prevents modification of this setting by all accounts below your account level. This allows you to elect to disable this feature for your organization as a whole.
To disable or re-enable smart AI rewrite, complete the following steps:
Go to Settings > Message Settings > Messages > Smart rewrite.
Toggle the Enable Smart Rewrite to ‘On’ (blue) or 'Off' (gray).
If you're an admin and want to prevent modifications below your account level, click the lock in the top right corner of the page.
Click Save.
