You can import phone numbers that are outside of the US and Canada with the TextUs Chrome extension using the Find Numbers feature, or you can manually add contacts by entering and saving their information. See Adding contacts using the TextUs Chrome extension for more information.
Note: Our texting service providers only support sending and receiving SMS in the same country as your messaging number. Customers who want to send text messages to more than one country from a single number may experience delivery issues.
When importing international phone numbers, make sure the phone numbers are in E.164 format with the following:
Country Code: A "+" symbol followed by a numerical code that represents the country or region, typically one to three digits long.
National Destination Code (NDC): Also known as the "area code" in some countries, the NDC represents a specific geographic area within the country or region.
Subscriber Number (SN): The individual phone number within the NDC, representing a specific line or subscriber.
The following example is an E.164 formatted telephone number for a phone number in the United Kingdom: +44 20 7123 4567
Note: When importing international phone numbers, make sure your account's country code on the Settings > Account Settings > Account Details menu matches your current location. Without a country code, any imported international phone number will be treated as a domestic number using the country set in the Account Details menu.
