View your billing analytics
The Analytics > Billing page allows admins on Bullhorn Messaging accounts to view and track SMS message usage for their account and any accounts below it. Admins can use this page to see their monthly message allowance, how much of it they've used, and whether they're on track to stay within it for the month.
Your monthly SMS message allowance is provided to TextUs by Bullhorn based on your Bullhorn Messaging subscription. If you have questions about your allowance or your contract, please contact your Bullhorn account representative.
Note: This article describes the billing analytics view for Bullhorn Messaging users only. If you are a direct customer with TextUs, you can read about the billing analytics available to you here.
View your plan overview
The Plan overview section always reflects the current month and includes the following:
SMS message allowance shows the number of SMS messages included in your plan each month.
SMS messages used shows how many SMS messages your organization has used so far this month, out of your monthly allowance.
Note: If your allowance hasn't been provided to TextUs, the SMS message allowance tile and usage pacing won't be displayed. You can still view your usage below and compare it with your Bullhorn Messaging subscription.
Understand your usage pacing
Within the SMS messages used tile, usage pacing shows whether you're on track to stay within your allowance by the end of the month. Two progress bars show the percentage of the month that has elapsed and the percentage of your monthly SMS messages used.
Your usage pacing percentage compares these two numbers. It's calculated by dividing the percentage of your allowance you've used by the percentage of the month that has elapsed. For example, if you've used 50% of your monthly allowance and 50% of the month has elapsed, your usage pacing is 100%.
If your usage pacing is 100% or less, you'll see a green message letting you know you're currently pacing within your volume limits. If it's above 100%, you'll see a warning that you're on track to exceed your allowance before the end of the month.
Note: If your usage exceeds your SMS message allowance, you may be subject to overage fees per your Bullhorn Messaging subscription. If your usage pacing shows you're on track to exceed your allowance, please reach out to your Bullhorn account representative to discuss your options.
View usage by account
Usage by account displays total SMS usage for the organization or branch you're currently viewing. At the organization level, you'll see usage for the entire organization. At the branch level, you'll see usage for that branch only. To see a breakdown by individual messaging account, download the CSV (see below).
By default, this data is for the last month. To choose a different time period, use the Time period dropdown menu on the top right of the section. You can choose from last quarter, last month, or a custom date range.
This information is viewable as either a graph or a table. To toggle between these two formats, use the graph and table icons on the top right of the section.
Note: Keep in mind that the number of messages sent and the number of SMS messages used may be different, since a single message may count as multiple SMS messages for billing purposes. For more information on why this is, please see What are SMS messages and how do they affect billing?.
Export your billing data
To download your usage data, click the ⋮ menu on the top right of the Usage by account section and select Download CSV. The file includes usage for every messaging account within the organization or branch you're viewing, for the time period selected.
