Follow the instructions in this guide to send and receive text messages in TextUs using your Zoom phone number.
Step 1: Contact TextUs Support
Contact TextUs Support and provide a list of phone numbers you want to have SMS enabled. We will then send you a Letter of Authorization (LOA) to complete through DocuSign. After you sign the document, our SMS provider will send a request to NetNumber to override Zoom’s SMS enablement.
Step 2: Contact Zoom to opt-out of Zoom Phone SMS
Next, submit a request to Zoom to opt-out of Zoom Phone SMS. You will need to provide the following information:
Your request type: Zoom Phone Number Porting
Your email address
Type of issue: SMS Concern
Subject: (Keep it as is)
Description:
Zoom Phone Account Number
Phone numbers that you would like to opt-out
NNID (Net Number ID) of your SMS provider. The NNID TextUs will be using is 103775.
Attachments: Signed LOA that you signed from TextUs in DocuSign.
Zoom will review and confirm the receipt of your request. They will provide you with updates after the opt-out request is complete. For more information, see the Zoom support article.
Step 3: Update your Zoom settings
Log in to the Zoom web portal and check the following settings:
To disable the SMS settings on all your Zoom numbers: Go to Account Management > Account Settings > Zoom Phone and that check the toggle switch for the 'SMS' option is toggled off.
To disable the SMS settings on only certain groups of numbers: Go to Group Settings > Zoom Phone and that check the toggle switch for the 'SMS' option is toggled off.
