How to interpret your organization health metrics

The information below details how to interpret the information that is provided on the Usage and Effectiveness sections of Organization health.

Campaign vs Conversational

Metrics on the Organization health page are frequently divided into two separate types: one for all Campaign messages and one for all non-Campaign, or Conversational, messages. Conversational messages include messages sent 1:1 through your Inbox or Contacts, as well as messages sent via Sequences, API calls, or integrations.

Usage

The Usage tab displays metrics related to your organization’s messaging volume and message deliverability. This includes your deliverability rate, number of messages sent overall, and number of messages sent by type.

Deliverability rate is the percentage of messages you've sent that have been successfully delivered. This is displayed overall and per type (Campaign and Conversational, as described above).

Messages sent is the number of messages that were sent from your organization. This is displayed overall and per type (Campaign and Conversational, as described above).

You can view Messages sent by type either as a bar graph or as a table. To switch between these views, click the corresponding icon on the top right corner of that section.

You can export both Messages sent by type and Message breakdown as either a CSV or PNG file. To do this, click the three dot menu on the top right of the respective section and select your preferred download format.

Effectiveness

The Effectiveness tab displays metrics related to your organization’s opt-out trends and response rates. This includes your opt-out rate, deliverability rate, and response rate. All metrics are shown both overall and by message type (Campaign and Conversational, as described above).

Opt-out rate is the percentage of the contacts you have messaged who have opted out of receiving text messages from you. To learn more about why your opt-out rate matters, what number to aim for, and best practices to reduce your opt-out rate, please see Understanding opt-outs.

Deliverability rate is the percentage of messages you've sent that have been successfully delivered. This metric is also displayed on the Usage tab.

Response rate measures how responsive your customers are overall by capturing how many messages you’ve sent vs received. This is calculated as the total number of incoming messages divided by the total number of outgoing messages.

You can view all graphs on this page either as a bar graph or as a table. To switch between these views, click the corresponding icon on the top right corner of that section.

You can export Opt-out rate by type, Deliverability vs response rate, and Response rate by time as either a CSV or PNG file. To do this, click the three dot menu on the top right of the respective section and select your preferred download format.
