How to interpret your sequence metrics

Learn about the different metrics provided to help evaluate the performance of your sequence workflow.

Sequence messaging metrics

You can view your sequence’s messaging metrics by selecting the sequence from the Sequences page, then clicking the Overview tab. From here you can view an overview of your sequence’s performance, as well as a breakdown of each step in the workflow.

The following table lists the sequence overview performance metrics:

Messaging Metric

Description

Steps

The number of steps in the sequence.

Days

The number of days required for a contact to complete the steps in the sequence.

Pending

The number of contacts enrolled in the sequence who have not yet started the sequence workflow.

All contacts

The number of contacts enrolled in the sequence. This includes contacts who are in a finished, failed, or omitted state.

Engagement rate

The number of contacts that have responded to any messages in the sequence is divided by the total number of contacts enrolled in the sequence. This does not include contacts in an omitted or failed state.

Sequence step metrics

The following table lists the individual step performance metrics:

Step Metric

Description

Delivered

The percentage of steps delivered in the sequence.

Responded

The percentage of contacts who have replied to the step’s message.

Failed

The percentage of contacts for whom the message was sent but could not be delivered.

Links

The percentage of contacts who clicked any shortened links included in the sequence step message.
