How to add contacts

Contacts allow you to save and manage user information so that you can easily compose and send targeted messages.

To add a contact, select Contacts at the bottom of the TextUs mobile app, then select the plus icon. Enter the contact’s details in the empty fields on the Contact Details menu, then select the checkmark icon to save your contact to your TextUs account.

How to manage contacts

Whether your TextUs account contains several contacts or several hundred contacts, you can use the features on the Contacts menu in the TextUs mobile app to quickly find, edit, and manage your contacts.

Search for contacts

To search for contacts, select Contacts at the bottom of the TextUs mobile app, then enter a contacts name, business, or phone number in the search field. From there, you can choose to edit the contact details, send a message to the contact, or call the contact using your mobile device.

Edit a contact

To edit a contact, select a contact from the Contact Details menu, select the pencil icon, then update the contact’s information. To save your changes, select the checkmark icon.

Opt out a contact

A contact can only be opted out of future messages after they have received at least one message. To opt out a contact, open the conversation on the Inbox menu and select the contact details icon. Select the toggle switch for Opt Out to manually opt out the contact from future messages.

When a contact is opted out, they will no longer be able to receive direct text messages, Campaigns, or Sequences from any TextUs account in your organization. Contacts can only opt back in by replying to the last received text message with an opt in keyword. For more information, see Understanding opt-outs.
