Changing the voice service on your numbers will also affect SMS, and could cause a disruption in your service. To minimize any potential disruptions let us know if you plan to change the voice provider on any of the numbers associated with your TextUs accounts.

When changing phone providers, send an email to your phone provider's point of contact and CC [email protected] in the request. In the body of the email, ask your that your phone provider provide the date and port time of the numbers that will be affected. We will then work with your new provider to re-enable SMS on your numbers in TextUs after the porting process is complete.
Note that some voice providers cannot enable SMS with TextUs. Reach out to TextUs Support if your new provider is compatible.
