Updated over a week ago

The TextUs integration for Workday supports the following features:

  • Send and receive two-way text messages with candidates in your Workday account using the TextUs Chrome extension.

  • Increase engagement with rich texting features such as message templates, rich media, short links, and more.

  • Import phone numbers from Workday into TextUs using the TextUs Chrome extension.

  • Log your team’s text conversations in TextUs back to Workday Candidate records.

Install the TextUs Chrome extension

Before you start using the TextUs for Workday integration, you'll need to download and install the TextUs Chrome extension in your Chrome web browser. For more information, see Install the TextUs Chrome extension.

Note: For note logging support, please ensure your organization admin has configured the Workday integration in your TextUs organization settings.

Supported Pages

The TextUs Chrome extension supports the following Workday record types and list views:

  • Candidate Overview

  • Candidate

Tip: A list view is a page in Workday that displays multiple candidates in a table or list. You can use list views to bulk-import candidates, or when you want to send the same message or campaign to multiple candidates at a time.

How to use the TextUs Chrome extension with Workday

See the sections below for more information about how to use the TextUs Chrome extension with Workday.

Import and message contacts with the Find Numbers feature

The Find Numbers feature extracts any name and phone number information on a supported Workday list view or page view, then displays the information on the Numbers Found menu.

You can then review and import the user’s contact information into your TextUs account, or use batch actions to send targeted text messages, campaigns, or enroll contacts in a sequence (available with Automation licenses only).

View conversation history in Workday

Your Workday integration automatically logs all text conversations back to the corresponding Candidate records. This allows your team to keep track of text communications and view previous TextUs conversations in one place.

You can view logged messages in the SMS Messaging section on the Candidate Overview > Additional Data page. Each activity includes the message direction (inbound or outbound), message details, user details, and timestamps.
