What does a red exclamation mark or error code next to my message mean?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

If you are seeing a red exclamation mark or error code next to your message, it means your message was not delivered to the recipient.

There are a variety of reasons why a message would not be delivered.

Hovering over the exclamation point icon will tell you the exact error code or message that we received from our SMS provider.

Here are some of the most common error codes and their meaning:

30002: Account Suspended - Your account has been suspended due to violations of our Acceptable Use Policy. Please reach out to TextUs Technical Support for assistance.

30003: Unreachable destination handset - The receiving number is unavailable. This could be due to the recipient phone being turned off or not having a strong enough signal to receive a message.

30004: Message Blocked - The receiving number has blocked or opted out of messages from your messaging number.

30006: Landline or Unreachable Carrier - The number you are trying to send a message to is most likely a landline. Landlines cannot receive SMS messages. Please remove this number from your sender list.

30007: Message flagged / filtered as Spam - Your messages are being flagged and filtered as SPAM. Please ensure your messaging use case complies with our Acceptable Use Policy.

Please note that a consistently high number of messages flagged and filtered as SPAM could result in messaging number suspension or 10DLC campaign suspension.

30022: US A2P 10DLC - Rate Limits Exceeded - You are sending messages at a rate higher than allowed by the carriers for your campaign type. Slow down your rate of sending messages to resolve.

30033: US A2P 10DLC - Campaign Suspended - Your 10DLC campaign has been suspended due to repeated or severe violations of our Acceptable Use Policy.

No messages can be sent from any number related to your 10DLC campaign - please reach out to TextUs Technical Support for assistance.
